NetEnt made a major announcement today to the online gambling market, they revealed that SoftSwiss will be the first to be able to resell their video slots & library of casino games. This came as a shock to many as NetEnt is the premium software developer in the industry, most developer don’t enter content agreements such as these unless their in need of financial support.
NetEnt is more than likely doing this to broaden their range across the globe as a software developer. SoftSwiss operates in other territories that NetEnt does not, allowing for this content agreement will allow for them to essentially enter new markets without having to go through the detailed & long paperwork process. It’s also rumored that NetEnt is requiring that SoftSwiss payout 40% of all winning’s they earn back to the developers until the contract is up for renewal, this’ll mean that NetEnt will still make millions upon millions off of this deal every month.
SoftSwiss is platform operator which resells games designed by Microgaming, Ezugi, BetSoft, Endorphina, NetEnt and many others. Their unique platforms allow for casinos to gain the option to have a more diverse and lively gambling experience offered to their players. There is unfortunately no word as of right now as to which casinos that license out the SoftSwiss Platform will first receive these NetEnt titles.
Hopefully this deal proves to be as profitable as both companies wish for, this’ll more than likely be the case as both of these operators are powerhouses in the industry.
